I guess when you've rightfully earned the title "dumbest president ever," you naturally imagine you rule the "dumbest public ever." With such assurance, you might include the following remarks in your latest address:
"'In a few weeks, our country will mark the four-year anniversary of the attacks of September the 11th, 2001. On that day, we learned that vast oceans and friendly neighbors no longer protect us from those who wish to harm our people,' Bush said. 'And since that day, we have taken the fight to the enemy,' he said.
'We're fighting the terrorists in Afghanistan, Iraq, and around the world, striking them in foreign lands before they can attack us here at home,' Bush said."
Honestly, other than a few inbred, mouth-breathing whores of the corporatists and Christianists; does anyone believe this particular line of bullshit anymore? Does Bush honestly think his poll numbers are slipping because people are "forgetting" the carefully crafted web of lies they have used to tie Saddam to September?
Maybe Rove and Cheney consider this just another smear tactic. They blamed bin Laden on Cleland, Vietnam on Kerry; now they want to blame this horrific disaster of a war on the victims of September 11th.
