Yahoo News - Science, Politics Collide in Election Year
Science has a way of clearing things up, which isn't a good thing for a President desperately trying to muddy things up. Not to mention, as a cynical member of the religious right (cynical, because his sole reason for becoming a reChristian was Laura threatening him,) he has a natural political bias against science.
Global warming, stem cells, evolution -- I'm sure God has told Dubya these things are evil.
Cheney has a message for all you scientists out there (or as George would say: "scientificists"):
"You're either for God, or against Him."
