So Bennett and the right are trying to spin his comments as some kind of brainstorming session; you know, just throwing things against the wall and seeing what sticks...
"On his radio program on Friday, Bennett said 'I was putting forward a hypothetical proposition ... and then said about it, it was morally reprehensible to recommend abortion of an entire group of people.'
'But this is what happens when you argue that the ends can justify the means.'"
Let's say it was just that.. a sort of free association session for Bennett and his pea-brained listeners. That doesn't make him racist, does it? What did he say again?
"But I do know that it's true that if you wanted to reduce crime, you could, if that were your sole purpose, you could abort every black baby in this country and your crime rate would go down."
Not poverty stricken blacks, not blacks in high crime neighborhoods, not blacks in poor school districts with broken public education systems... every black baby.
You can't spin that. It's pure racism, and it's the poisonous crap these diseased theocons believe so strongly they can't help but occasionally shout what they whisper behind closed doors. Lott, Barbara Bush, Haley Barbour, and Bennett.
All they lack is a rope and an excuse.
