How Many Votes Can 10 Grand Buy?

Ohio News Now: Probe Targets Republican's Donation To Election Official

The mainstream view is that anybody suggesting RightWingNuttia voting shenanigans wears a tin-foil hat. Perhaps, but it's naive to think these voting machine companies, all run by Republicans committed to "bringing the vote to Bush," aren't dirty:

"Pat Gallina handed a ten-thousand dollar check to the director of the county board of elections in early 2004, on the same day the county opened bids for voter-registration software.

Board of Elections Director Matt Damschroder says he never recommended the company, but he shouldn't have taken the check."
