Republican Judge to Parents: I Prohibit Exercise of Your Religion

Via pandagon.net

Judge: Parents can't teach pagan beliefs

"An Indianapolis father is appealing a Marion County judge's unusual order that prohibits him and his ex-wife from exposing their child to 'non-mainstream religious beliefs and rituals.'"

Here we have a judge who blantantly violates the First Amendment by "prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Where are the RightWingNuttia bloggers?? Maybe I'm wrong, and Spongedob Stickypants is right now yanking on Frist's leash, while Bugman DeLay is calling in his illegal lobbying contacts to threaten this judge.

But I doubt it.

Why not? Because this guy ain't a Jeebus worshipper and therefore his rights don't matter. Once again, these theocons and Christocrats love to spout praise for First Amendment religious rights -- but what they don't say is they only support their own definition of religion.

Anything non-Christian doesn't count (see above), and anything Christian that lacks fire, brimstone, or gayphobia isn't protected either (see anything non-fundy.)

UPDATE: Atrios thought of Spongedob before I did.
