McClellan, Condi, Rummy Lied: Overhill Demands Retraction

Digital Chosunilbo (English Edition) : Daily News in English About Korea

"General Myers said the U.S. commander in Afghanistan, General Carl Eichenberry, believes the protests in the Afghan city of Jalalabad were sparked by disputes over local politics, not the magazine article."

I heard about Myers admitting that the Newsweek article likely had nothing to do with the Afghan protests and a cursory search only pulled up this Korean article about it. Shocking, eh?

I'd like to demand McClellan apologize at the next press briefing as a good first start. Condi can admit that the "mushroom cloud" talking point she used to apply to Iraq helped result in an optional war. And finally, Rummy can revise his "people died" speech yesterday by appending "due to my insistence on the smallest possible US troop deployment for the Iraq war, ignoring Shinseki who called for 400 thousand troops. Sorry. And sorry for smearing you as we railroaded your ass."

UPDATE: Olbermann writes about this in more detail.
