Wal-Mart Spills Beans on its "Enlightened" View of Mom and Pop

Young didn't spit out this crap out of nowhere. When he was hired by Wal-mart, he went to meetings where he was indoctrinated with Wal-mart spin on why they deserve to exert monopoly power.

No doubt, the views below reflect Wal-mart management thinking; they just expected a little more sugar-coating from Young.

"Civil rights leader Andrew Young, who was hired by Wal-Mart Stores Inc. to improve its public image, resigned from that post Thursday night after telling an African-American newspaper that Jewish, Arab and Korean shop owners had 'ripped off' urban communities for years, 'selling us stale bread, and bad meat and wilted vegetables,' The New York Times reports in its Friday edition.

An [sic] an interview published Thursday in The Los Angeles Sentinel, Young said Wal-Mart 'should' displace mom-and-pop stores in urban neighborhoods.

'You see those are the people who have been overcharging us,' Young was quoted as saying of the small stores, 'and they sold out and moved to Florida. I think they've ripped off our communities enough. First it was Jews, then it was Koreans and now it's Arabs.'"
