What the strike is really about

Now, I'm not saying I agree with all of the transit workers' demands, but I do know one thing. This fight is about taking another union down a few notches. I'm sure most Americans hear they can retire at 55 and are shocked, because that is indeed a rare thing outside of the military and law enforcement.

But nobody blinks an eye at corporate management wealth; mercilessly farming out jobs overseas, hiding tax dollars in sleazy island nations, and stealing every last penny they can out from labor.

Bloomberg speaks the truth. He wants fines so high this union is destroyed; jail risks sympathy. Republicans have spent decades shaping the worksheep's attitudes to despise themselves, and love Wal-mart.

Union heads could face jail over NY strike - Yahoo! News: "Mayor Michael Bloomberg denounced the 'illegal and selfish' strike, but said jailing union heads would risk making them martyrs and that he would prefer heavier fines."
